Product details

Pu-erh Legacy is a curated duo designed to introduce the depth and character of aged Pu-erh tea. Featuring one aged raw Pu-erh from Mengsong and one mature ripe Pu-erh from Bulang Mountain, this set showcases the contrast and harmony within Yunnan’s most iconic tea tradition.

Mengsong Spring Vitality

Mengsong is known for producing Pu-erh teas with bright aromatics and lively energy, often celebrated for their elegant floral character.

Made from early spring leaves and aged since 2006, this raw Pu-erh offers a refined and vibrant profile. Delicate floral notes blend with hints of honey, creating a fresh yet graceful aroma.

The liquor is smooth with a gentle touch of bitterness that quickly transforms into sweetness, leaving a refreshing aftertaste and bright reddish-amber infusion. With years of aging, the tea has developed balance and depth while maintaining its lively spirit — perfect for moments when you want clarity, focus, and gentle energy.

Bulang Mountain Soul

Bulang Mountain is famous for producing some of the boldest and most characterful Pu-erh teas in Yunnan, known for their depth, strength, and lasting sweetness.

Crafted from imperial-grade leaves from Bulang Mountain and aged since 2008, this ripe Pu-erh reveals the warmth and richness that time brings.

The tea brews a smooth, velvety liquor with comforting notes of toasted rice, red dates, and natural sweetness. Its deep wine-red color and rounded taste create a calming and grounding experience, making it ideal for quiet evenings, reading, or moments of relaxation.

A Perfect Introduction to Aged Pu-erh

Together, these two teas represent the two classic expressions of Pu-erh: the lively clarity of aged raw tea and the smooth warmth of ripe Pu-erh. Whether you are new to Pu-erh or exploring aged teas, Pu-erh Legacy offers an approachable and rewarding tasting journey.

Brewing Tips
  • Use fresh spring or filtered water for the best flavor.
  • Water temperature: cooler for green/white (185–195°F | 85–90°C), hotter for black & Pu’er (200–212°F | 95–100°C).
  • Start with 1–2 tsp (or 1 piece) per 6–8 oz cup.
  • (Optional) Quick rinse (5 sec) to “wake up” the leaves before the first brew.
  • Steep to taste (1-5 min) — shorter for lighter flavor, longer for stronger.
  • Quality teas can be re-steeped several times, each cup revealing new character.
  • Compressed teas (tea cakes, balls, etc.), white tea, and ripe Pu’er can be brewed longer or gently simmered to unfold deeper layers.
Storage Tips
  • Keep tea away from light, moisture, and strong odors.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
  • Many teas, especially white and Pu’er, develop beautifully with age.
