FAQs
At Tea Quest 茶·寻, we believe every journey begins with curiosity. To help you enjoy our teas with confidence, we’ve gathered answers to the most common questions about our sourcing, brewing, ordering, and shipping.
Teas & Brewing
Our teas are sourced from highland gardens in Yunnan and Fujian, China, where pure mountain air nurtures exceptional leaves. Grown naturally without additives, some come from ancient tea trees, renowned for their depth, energy, and timeless character. Many of these teas continue their journey in our family’s private storage, where decades of care have allowed them to mature into rare treasures.
While not all are certified organic, all our teas are grown with traditional farming methods, free from artificial flavors or additives.
Keep your tea in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odors. For aged teas (like Pu’er or White Tea), storage in breathable packaging allows them to continue developing flavor over time.
A general guide is 1–2 teaspoons (or one tea piece) per 6–8 oz of water. Adjust to taste and tea type. Each product page includes a detailed brewing guide.
Green & White Tea: 185–195°F (85–90°C)
Black Tea: 200–212°F (95–100°C)
Pu’er (Raw or Ripe): 212°F (100°C)
It is simple!
1. Use fresh water — spring or filtered brings out the best flavor.
2. Choose your teaware — a classic gaiwan or clay pot for tradition, or a handy cup with infuser for everyday ease.
3. Add leaves to an infuser (about 1–2 tsp per cup).
4. Pour hot water at the right temperature (cooler for green/white, hotter for black/Pu’er).
5. Steep, then remove leaves — enjoy, and re-steep for more flavor!

Absolutely! High-quality teas are meant for multiple infusions. You’ll notice the flavor evolving with each steep.
Think of it like wine tasting — use all your senses:
1. Look at the dry leaves and the color of the brew.
2. Smell the aroma, both before and after steeping.
3. Taste with a small sip, noticing flavor, texture, and aftertaste.
4. Observe the opened leaves for a final glimpse of quality.
Tasting isn’t about rules. It is about slowing down and enjoying the moment.
